Top 10 Horror Movie Deaths of All Time

Halloween is fast approaching, so what better time of year to “pay our respects” to some of the greatest deaths in horror movie history. Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm

What did you think of the list? Do you agree with our picks of the greatest deaths of all time? Are you shocked that we left something off? What’s your favorite horror movie death, and why? Do you like your on-screen deaths scary? Funny? Poignant? Terrifying? Gross? What other moviemaking topics would you like to see us cover in future lists?

Let us know in the comments!

THE LIST

Final Destination 3 (2006)
Ashley and Ashlyn’s Death By Tanning Bed was hands down one of the most… creative ways to go ever shot.

The Omen (1976)
The demonic-influenced suicide got things started, but the sheet-glass decapitation was the pinnacle.

Psycho (1960)
The infamous shower scene is infamous for a reason. And while it depicts an incredibly violent murder, it’s remarkably restrained with showing the violence…

Halloween (1978)
Michael Myers’ murderous rampage pretty much defined the slasher film genre.

Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Johnny Depp’s swallowed-into-the-bed, geyser of blood death is certainly one of the bloodiest of all time, and most creatively executed.

Scream (1996)
The early death of top-billed star Drew Barrymore took a page from Hitchcock’s book and added a heavy dose of slasher-film sensibilities, effectively reviving the genre for another go ‘round.

Saw (2004)
The reverse bear trap scene got the torture porn revolution started with, well, not so much a bang as a crunch.

The Cabin In The Woods (2012)
This movie overall wins for originality, but the elevator massacre wins for referential self-awareness.

Alien (1979)
The Chest-buster scene is famous now, but at the time no one – not the audience, not even the cast, could have known what was coming.

Let The Right One In (2008)
The pool scene from Låt den rätte komma in is not the most terrifying or the goriest death. Rather, it takes top prize on our list due to its artistry and restraint.

Cumberbatch To Be Doctor Strange!! – CineFix Now

After a great deal of speculation, it looks as though Marvel has settled on its pick for Doctor Strange, and it’s the Internet’s favorite actor, Benedict Cumberbatch. Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm

There has been speculation galore: it looked Jared Leto there for a while. Joaquin Phoenix, Keeanu Reeves and Johnny Depp were tossed about. We had our dark horse hopes in for Andy Serkis, but it looks as though he’s already scored a MCU part, which has been at the center of plenty of other speculation. But it looks as though Sherlock’s got the part locked up, making Benedict Cumberbatch officially the busiest man at next year’s Comic-Con (or something like that).

What do you think of this news? Did you see it coming? Do you think Benedict Cumberbatch is the right choice for the part? Do you think he’s overdoing the genre commitments at this point? Did you have a pick you preferred for the part?
