Why Movie Trailers Are Actually The Worst

Movie Trailers Are Not What They Once Were
Subscribe for more videos: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

Movie trailers are an integral part of movie studio’s marketing strategies for their films. They usually end up being make-or-break for studios— if a trailer is GREAT, you can have a full house on opening night. If a trailer is awful – well if it’s for a Sonic the Hedgehog movie, it’s gonna send you back to the drawing board and cost you millions of dollars.

But one thing that the majority of movie trailers have in common, especially these days, is that they OVERSHARE WAY TOO MUCH. How many times have you sat through a movie trailer, only to realize that you’d basically just seen the entire movie. Trailers for films contain so much information that they sometimes spoil major twist and plot points. So why does this happen — and what would happen if you stopped watching them?

How Every Matt Damon Movie Is Secretly Connected

This Matt Damon Movie Theory Is Wack
Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

From the outside looking in, it would appear as though Matt Damon is simply a beloved actor with a slew of memorable roles under his belt. However, what if some of those roles are actually a lot more attached than we may have previously thought? Not only does he appear to play the same character with the same personality traits, but the timeline of events from one movie to another actually sync up and it stands to reason that several of Matt Damon’s roles were actually meant to be the same person.

In this video, we’ll discuss how Good Will Hunting, Interstellar, The Martian, and all of the Bourne movies are actually meant to be the same person. He went from local genius in Boston to super secret agent to intergalactic space traveller in the span of one uniquely interesting lifetime. We’ll explain how the timeline makes sense, and the character traits that link each role to each other.

You Shouldn’t Underestimate Adam Sandler

Uncut Gems Is Just Further Proof That Adam Sandler Can’t Be Stopped
Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

When we think of actors who deserve an Oscar, there are plenty of acclaimed stars who make our list like Denzel Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tom Hanks. One person we never thought we’d see? Adam Sandler. But that’s what all the buzz has been about lately as his new drama Uncut Gems gets highly praised — and especially Sandler for his dramatic turn in the film. You cannot discuss Adam Sandler’s career without starting back at the beginning. Many people’s favorite Adam Sandler films were some of his first movies — which continue to get re-run over and over again on cable networks.

The 1990’s was a major boom for the comedy genre — and Adam Sandler was right in the mix. He quickly gained fans with his eccentric characters on Saturday Night Live before transitioning to supporting roles in films like Mixed Nuts and Airheads. His true comedy style and iconic films began with Billy Madison in 1995. Playing an immature rich kid who goes back to school, the film was filled with hilarious quotes and scenes that went viral — before the internet and the common phrase of “going viral” was even a thing.

We all know Sandler as one of the biggest goofballs in Hollywood — but if we reflect back on his journey so far, you should not underestimate the box office power and longevity he’s had in the business. Learn how Sandler has lasted, overcome some box office blunders, and makes decisions which help his career and personal life at the same time.

10 Things That Should Have Been Different In Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Should Have Made These Major Connections
Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

After years of anticipation, the final entry in the Skywalker story is here — and so are the legions of Star Wars fans ready to criticize it. Whether you loved, hated, or simply enjoyed the final entry in the modern-day trilogy, no movie is perfect and there are certainly some things that should be different. The first Rise of Skywalker trailers had the whole internet buzzing. The voice, the cackle. Could it be? Yes! The Emperor was back. As soon as the trailer hit the internet, we all couldn’t help but theorize about his big return. Would we see flashbacks to Return of the Jedi? Would Kylo Ren be the one to resurrect him? Is that Darth Vader helmet the key to it all? NOPE — and they had so much potential to work with here. There’s no denying that the Rise of Skywalker was PACKED with plot points, details, and story arcs it had to connect. Unfortunately, this meant that some characters were pretty limited on-screen. One of them? Rose Tico. First introduced in The Last Jedi, Rose was an integral part of the plot, stuck by Finn’s side for a majority of the movie, and was a fun new character for the trilogy.

So what was she up to in The Rise of Skywalker? She mostly stood around and provided a few lines about the plot that almost any background character could have delivered. Yeah, The Rise of Skywalker did a MAJOR disservice to Rose Tico.

From minimized characters to missing characters — and some disappointing swerves, some of these elements shouldn’t even have made it past the script stage – nevermind put into the final film.

Before we dive deep into this Sarlacc Pit – we have to warn you, there will be major SPOILERS for The Rise of Skywalker.

Every MCU Character We Lost That Aren’t Coming Back

The MCU Characters We Won’t Likely See In Phase 4
Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

Wow, wow, wow. As we welcome in 2020, we look back on a decade…a decade dominated by Marvel and MCU in every single way. And while new heroes and filled our lives with entertainment, there were many who perished along the way. Whiles hi Thanos’s snap caused many to disappear and come back, we will walk you through the dozens of others who lost their lives in the MCU.

Iron Man 2 helped kick off the decade of destruction, but our heroes were able to survive — for now. Off-screen, we learn of Anton Vanko’s passing, but his son would have a much worse fate. While plenty of Frost Giants met their icy demise in Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger really upped the tally here. There’s Jan, the Tesseract guard who was crushed under a pile of rubble. Along with Jan, the Church Keeper was fallen after a single shot from Schmidt. Loki adds more victims to his wrath in the first Avengers movie — this time taking out Heinrich Schafter so he could make some use out of his eyeball.

Even more devastating was the loss of Agent Phil Coulson — but he was later brought to life to help add some credibility to ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.

And oh yeah, we’re only counting the decade from 2010 to 2019 — so the first Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk are out of the running. Sorry Obadiah Stane. Now grab some tissues as we relive these huge losses. Join us at Screenrant as we detail all the major and minor MCU losses.
