Now that the second season of “Altered Carbon” is finally out, it seems like everyone is talking about how it compares to the popular first season of the Netflix show. Anthony Mackie may be playing Tak Kovacs now, and that’s only the beginning of how things have changed. If you didn’t haven’t been paying close attention, don’t worry because we’ll fill you in on some of the best Easter eggs and hidden jokes you might have missed on the first watch through. Edgar Poe being named after a famous author isn’t very subtle, but some other aspects of his character have surprising nods to literature. If you missed out on catching a reference to movies like “The Highlander” and “Blade,” we’ll talk about all the homages we’ve seen in the show. We’ll explain the significance of Annabel Lee, and where you can listen to some familiar “Westworld” music. Is it possible to have a piece of sci fi that doesn’t reference “Star Wars” at some point? If so, this definitely isn’t one of them! The way immortality and technology cross paths with each other is actually pretty similar to how it works in the movie “Edge of Tomorrow.”

These Disney Movies Would Have Been Huge Hollywood Hits

Disney is like a machine, constantly churning out new movies and animated adventures for the whole family to enjoy. But for every finished production, it feels like a handful were scrapped along the way. While many of the movies remain on the cutting room floor, there are some that we all wish Disney didn’t pass on! There was one moment in the Nightmare Before Christmas where we felt the film was destined for a sequel — when Jack reaches all the holiday doors! We would love to see Halloween infused with Thanksgiving or Easter! And Disney planned to take us there back in 2001, when a sequel was penned. The main issue? Disney was going to move forward with an all-CG production as opposed to another stop-motion movie. Before Disney purchased Pixar and folded the company into one, Pixar was a separate entity while Disney owned the rights to the characters. Disney decided to create their own low-budget studio known as Studio 7. Along with an alternate Toy Story 3, the studio developed Monsters, Inc. 2: Lost in Scaradise. We’ve already seen a lot of Elves battle in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, but we almost got to enjoy a Disney version of the battle with an adaptation of the action/adventure short story known as “King of the Elves”.

Batman is a certified pop culture icon. Having been part of the cultural zeitgeist since he debuted way back in 1939. Yea, 80 years ago. Dude looks pretty good for his age.

And over those 80 years, we’ve gotta a lot of different adaptations of the character. In tv shows, movies, books, all of that awesome goodness. And each one has been pretty awesome in it’s own right.

Ok, maybe not all of them…

Anyways, the thing though is, each one of these previous adaptations haven’t quite managed to be the definitive Batman, the one who most accurately represents what we have seen in 8 decades worth of comics.

That might be looking to change however, with The Batman coming to us in the not too distant future.

But how exactly is this film going to present us with the quintessential Batman? With the most accurate version of the character?
