The Overnight Review – From Sundance! – CineFix Now

Cruz and Clint took in a screening of “The Overnight” at Sundance. Directed by Patrick Brice, and centered around a small cast, the Overnight has just been picked up for distribution. Cruz and Clint will tell you what they thought! Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm

The movie stars Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation) and Jason Schwarztman (Rushmore). And while the plot turns on a couple of couples arranging a play date for their children, the activities get more… adult.

Will you see The Overnight if and when it gets a wider release? If you’ve seen it yourself, what did you think? Did you agree with our assessments? What other movies out of Sundance are you looking forward to hearing or seeng more of?

Wild Tales (Relatos Salvajes) Review – From Sundance! – CineFix Now

While the CineFix Team was at the Sundance Film Festival, Cruz took in Wild Tales (Relatos Salvajes), a hugely successful Argentinian movie making the festival circuit here in the USA. Here’s what he thought! Subscribe: http://goo.gl/9AGRm

The film is from Argentinian director Damián Szifrón, and will get a limited release stateside later this year. But for now, it’s the highest-grossing film in Argentina, ever. Rather than a single narrative, Wild Tales is a series of stories about people giving in to their darker impulses. And it’s well worth the watch.

Will you see Wild Tales if and when it comes to a theater near you? Do you enjoy foreign-launguage films as much as Cruz does? If you’ve seen it yourself, what did you think? Did you agree or disagree with any of Cruz’s points? What other movies out of Sundance are you looking forward to hearing or seeing more of?
