Thankfully, a new resurgence in the compact truck segment has forced Ford to bring back the Ranger for 2019. It returns with probably the best gas powertrain in the segment, actual small truck dimensions, and handsome styling. Unfortunately, it has two big flaws that keep it from being a top pick in the segment and Ford could easily address it with a mild refresh.
