Blue Satellite Headphones Review: Sweet Sound, Bad Basics

The Blue Satellite Headphones don’t just stand out thanks to their striking looks. With an onboard analog amplifier, dual drivers per earcup and one of the most well-known brand names in audio, the Blue Satellite should have been a shoe-in for first place in my ever-rotating collection of bluetooth headphones.

But after a month of using Blue Satellite in the real world, I’m looking forward to reverting to my old reliable Bose QC35s. Maybe that’s because I’m not really an audiophile – or maybe it’s because I think $399 is a steep price for a headset that doesn’t even give you the courtesy of a warning beep before its battery dies. As usual, the truth is probably somewhere in between. Check out my Blue Satellite review for the full story!

Feeling up for a challenge? Grab a copy of Super Mario Maker and strap in. If you play these levels, you’re in for a bumpy ride.

In traditional Mario games, you don’t have to take damage to get past the obstacles put in your path. In “Unconventional Thoughts,” getting hit is all part of the design. You’ll have to juggle shells constantly to reach the end of “Pit of Panga: U-Break.” “Super Mario vs. Mecha Bowzilla” makes Bowser a more imposing villain by turning him into a mechanical beast that’s eight stories high. You’ll want to be there when “Trials of Death” goes live. The reason it’s not available yet is because its creator hasn’t managed to beat it.

The only way to get through “Spin is Magic” is to master Mario’s spin-jump, which lets you bounce off of enemies and traps that would otherwise kill you. Let’s just say that “Extreme Sadistic Torture World” is aptly named and leave it at that. If thinking of attempting Mario Maker’s toughest levels, “Goomba is Key” is a good one to start with because its challenges are spaced out. “Pit of Panga: P-Break” is another level from the fiendish designer of “U-Break” that will have you struggling for every inch of progress. The dangers pile up quickly in “Tricky Mario: Val’s Shellspace.” Orchestrate explosion after explosion to get through “Bomb Voyage,” a level that requires an insane amount of precision from anyone who hopes to reach the finish line.

Watch the video to see just how tricky these levels can be.
