كانت النجمة قد كشفت مؤخرا حقيقة إصابتها بمرض السرطان في لقاء تلفزيوني.
ومن الاسرار التى قالتها فى اللقاء ان زوجها كان رياضيًا وعندما زار نجم الكرة البرازيلية بيليه مصر، توجها لزيارته بالفندق الذي كان يقيم فيه، وفوجئ الجميع ببيليه ينسى نفسه وظل ينظر لعينها متجاهلًا الجميع بشكل أحرجها بشدة «كان جريئًا جدًا في نظراته بشكل لم أكن أتخيله أو يتخيله أحد».

زبيدة لم تكن تملك أي شيء تفعله للخروج من الموقف سوى الصمت «الرهيب»، أما بيليه فقد خاطب زوجها بعدما أطال انظر بقوله: «خد بالك من عيون زوجتك أنهما أجمل عينين رأيتهما في حياتي» وابتسم الزوج أو اصطنع الابتسام إلا أن زوجته تؤكد اشتعال نيران الغيرة بداخله وأقسمت أن الموقف لو كان حدث مع شخص آخر لكان قتله على الفور.

تزوجت أربعة مرات ، الضابط البحرى إيهاب الغراوى ، ومن المهندس ولاء اسماعيل ، والممثل عمر ناجى بالاضافة الى المنتج صبحى فرحات
وكشفت زبيدة ثروت، عن أن الفنان عبد الحليم حافظ تقدم لخطبتها، لكن والدها رد عليه “زى الأسد”: “أنا مش هاجوز بنتى لمغنواتى”، مؤكدة أنها أحبت الفنان الراحل بشدة سواء فى السينما أو الحقيقة

طلاق زبيدة ثروت، من صبحي لم يتم بهدوء، وإنما كلفها الكثير من التعب، و التنازل عن الشقة التي كانت تسكن فيها، وانتقلت إلى السكنى في الفنادق بانتظار أن تجد بيتًا لها، وكان واضحًا أن زبيدة ثروت، لم تكن تملك أي قدر من السعادة، بل كان الحزن يلقى ظلاله على عينيها الساحرتين، وخطوط تعلن عن الأسى تكمن بين تقاطيع وجهها.

وسعى كثيرون لأن يعيدوا الضحكة إلى وجهها والبريق إلى عينيها وكلهم أخفقوا ماعدا نعيم عبود مصمم تسريحات النجمات بلبنان.

وقد انتشرت العديد من الشائعات حول ارتباط زبيدة ونعيم، عاطفيًا، وقد ذكرت صحيفة «الموعد»، وقتها أنها تزوجته زواجًا مدنيًا في قبرص، حيث قالا بعد عودتهما من جولة طويلة في أوروبا: «إن الزواج المدني غير مسموح به في البلاد العربية ولا سيما بين اثنين لكل منهما دينه»، وكان الزواج المدني لا قيمة له في مصر أو لبنان.

ولكن الزوجان عادا من قبرص وكل منهما يضع خاتم الزواج في يده،

وقد قالت زبيدة عن زواجها: «إنها سعيدة بل إنها تكاد تطير من السعادة لأنها أخيرًا بعد مطاف طويل وشاق وجدت الرجل الذي يفهمها وتفهمه وتحس وهي بين ذراعيه بالسعادة والاطمئنان».

ولكن بعد فترة من تداول الأخبار، خرج نعيم عن صمته وقال: «لا تصدقوا كلام زبيدة ثروت.. أنني لم أتزوجها بعد.. لا هنا ولا في قبرص ولا في القاهرة.. إنها وحدها التي أطلقت هذه الحكاية!!.. حقيقة كنا قد اتفقنا على الزواج ولكنه لم يتم؛ إذ عارضت أمي الزواج منها بالذات.. ولكننا أصدقاء على أيّة حال وهذا هو كل ما بيننا…!!».
