Alaska Twins Live Off the Land 150 Miles From the Nearest Store

Identical twins, Miki and Julie Collins have lived in the Alaska bush for more than 50 years. With their team of dogs, they run a hundred-mile trapline near Denali National Park, trapping mainly martin but also lynx, fox, mink, and occasionally wolves and wolverines. They’re among the few people left in this area carrying on this difficult way of life. Now climate change may be bringing them new challenges.

Thrashing Roadkill Project Cars! – Roadkill Ep. 47

In this episode you’ll see a huge road trip that includes Freiburger-versus-Finnegan showdowns with crazy burnouts in the General Mayhem and General Maintenance; drag racing with the Blasphemi, General Mayhem, Draguar, and Vette Kart; and road-racing in the Vette Kart and General Maintenance. It’s all part of Roadkill Takes America, presented by Dodge, an event that was held in August of 2015. Roadkill fans were encouraged to follow along as hosts Mike Finnegan and David Freiburger road-tripped from Detroit to Ft. Worth (Texas) making stops at Beech Bend Raceway Park, Holley Performance, Comp Cams, Hallet Motor Racing Circuit, Tulsa Raceway, Hajek Motorsports Museum, Painless Performance, and finally Coyote Drive-In where episodes of Roadkill were shown on the big screen. Wanna know the best parts of this episode in our opinion? The massive burnout in the Comp Cams parking lot, the shriek of the Blasphemi’s blown Hemi at the drag strip, and the sound of the Hellcat on the road course. The worst part? Our driving skills on a damp road course. Don’t miss it.
