What is Pokémon?
Since 1996, Pocket Monsters has become an international hit. The player becomes a Pokémon Trainer, where he/she embarks on a quest to complete the Pokédex and become a Pokémon master.
Along the way, you learn how to catch various Pokémon by using your starter Pokémon and an assortment of Poké Balls. Your Pokémon learn to evolve as they grow stronger through battle. Eventually you defeat the Pokémon League by battling and defeating the Elite Four in various regions of the fantasy world. In modern games, players can battle and trade with each other online using a WiFi connection. There are currently 6 separate Pokémon regions and generations.
