The new BMW 2-series Active Tourer is a versatile five-seat MPV which will usher in a new era of front-drive models after its debut at the Geneva motor show next month. See its official photos here.

The BMW 2-series Active Tourer is due to go on sale in the UK in September at a starting price confirmed to be below £23k. It adopts a transversely mounted engine and standard front-wheel drive. This layout has never been used by a fully fledged BMW series-production model before but it is set to underpin an impressive assembly of new BMW models. It will also be the first BMW to be offered with three-cylinder power – a compact new turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine, as featured in the new Mini hatchback.

The new Ferrari California T convertible marks the return of the Italian supercar manufacturer using turbocharged powertrains in its mainstream models. See it in our picture special.

The replacement for the current Ferrari California, the new California T is powered by a low-mounted direct-injection 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 552bhp at 7500rpm and 557lb ft of torque. The new car will make its world debut at the Geneva motor show next month.

Nonstop stars Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore, and is the story of an air marshall who receives a series of text messages during a long flight that threatens the lives of all onboard unless the airline pays a ransom. It opens this weekend.
