While they might not seem like obvious rivals, the 542bhp 2013 Nissan GT-R and 532bhp Alpina B6 are surprisingly close on paper. Both cars have a quick-shifting automatic gearbox, four-wheel drive and performance numbers which defy their considerable kerb weights. But specifications are one thing, how they perform in the hands of Steve Sutcliffe are quite another. Autocar took this pair of bruisers on track at Brands Hatch and then out on the road for the full verdict.
