By modifying the secondary coil on a MOT, the transformer is converted from a high voltage/low current device into a low voltage/high current metal melter. The first MOT in the video produces just over 500 amps, and the second one is capable of nearly 800 amps.

Any metal that can conduct such low voltage electricity acts as a resistor between the electrode wires, and heats up due to the extreme electrical friction.

I plan to make a new project turning this into a more proper and useful spot welder, although I can find very little use for a spot welder at the moment.

مع الاتّساع الخيالي لقاعدة مستخدمي ”الفيسبوك” أصبح من الضروري أن يتبع مستخدموه قواعد عامّة تضمن ألّا يتسبّب (ستاتوس) بريء المظهر او صورة ضاحكة في مشكلة اجتماعيّة معقّدة، وهناك 5 قواعد يفضّل اتّباعها كمستخدم ”فيسبوك” واع :

1- ضمّن الأمور الخاصّة في رسائل للأشخاص المعنيّين ولا تنشرها على حائطك، فالحيطان كما نقول (لها آذان) وحيطان الفيسبوك مثل غيرها تنقل كل الخصوصيّات. وحتّى لو كنت أنت ممّن يستمتعون بانشغال الآخرين بشؤونهم الخاصّة فهذا على الأرجح لن يروق لمن شاركك تلك الخصوصيّات.

2- فكّر جيّداً فيما تنشر على حائطك، فمع اتّساع دائرة الأصدقاء ومنهم بالطبع من لا تعرف الكثير عن معتقداتهم وأعراقهم ووظائفهم، فمثلاً إذا نشرت ”ستاتوس” يسخر من الصحفيّين بشكل عام فقد يبدو لك مضحكاً ولكن قد يكون أحد الأصدقاء أو والد أحدهم يعمل بالصحافة ومابدا لك ساخراً اعتبره هو تلميحاً أو تحرّشاً مباشراً به.

3-استخدم وسائل الاتصال التقليديّة للإبلاغ بخبر شخصي كوفاة أحد أفراد العائلة ولا تستخدم ”الفيسبوك” لنشره، فقواعد اللياقة تحتّم إبلاغ الأخبار الهامّة سواء السعيدة أو الحزينة بشكل شخصي وباستخدام نبرات الصوت المتعاطفة ولغة الجسد أيضاً إذا كان الإبلاغ مباشراً.

4- احرص على الردّ على التعليقات التي ترد لـ”البوست” الخاص بك خاصّةً إذا ما جاءت في صورة استفسارات، فعندما تنشر ”بوست” ويتجاوب آخرون فأقلّ ما ينتظرونه منك هو أن تبادل اهتمامهم بعناية مماثلة، كذلك عليك أن تعي دائماً أنّ نبرة صوتك غائبة فقد تترك تعليقاً ساخراً يأخذه البعض على محمل الجدّ، فراعٍ اختيار ألفاظك واستخدم ما أمكن الوجوه الضاحكة والعلامات التعبيريّة المتعارف عليها.

5- تجنّب التعليق الدائم على جميع ”بوستات” أحدهم، فرغم أنّ هذا يعدّ اهتماماً من وجهة نظرك، إلّا أنّ الطبع الإنساني لا يرتاح كثيراً للمطاردة اللصيقة والشعور بالمراقبة، كذلك قد يلاحظ أصدقاء ذلك الصديق غير المشتركين معك إصرارك على التعليق على كلّ ما يكتبه فيتحرّج البعض ممّن لا يعرفونك من التعليق.

أمّا أخطاء الفيسبوك الشائعة وواجبة التجنّب:

1- إرسال طلبات صداقة لأغراب، فالبعض يعتقد ان عدد الأصدقاء مؤشر على شعبيّته وتأثيره الاجتماعي‘ إلّا أنّ هذا المؤشّر الخادع قد يضعك في حرج بالغ، لا ترسل طلباً لصداقة أغراب دونما سبب مقنع ترسله في رسالة أو تقديم صديق مشترك لك أوّلاً.

2- لا ترسل لحوائط أصدقائك (tag) صوراً يبدون فيها في أسوأ حال بغرض المزاح، وخاصّة الفتيات والنساء اللائي لن يغفرن لك هذا، فارقٌ كبير بين الظُرف والتظرٌف.

3- لاتفرط في نشر أحوالك، فالبعض يظهر على شريط أخبار صفحتك كلّ عشر دقائق في (ستاتوس) جديد على غرار: (ياله من يومٍ مملّ)، أو (أنا الآن أتناول الآيس كريم)! الآرجح أنّك ستختار خاصيّة إخفاء كل ما ينشره هذا الصديق مفرط الذاتيّة وأنت لن ترغب أن يتنفّس الآخرون الصعداء عندما يتخلّصون من (بوستاتك)!

4- لا تخرج شحنات غضبك من العمل على حائطك، فما يلطّخ حائطك لدى زملاء عملك أو رؤسائك لا يسهل محوه أبداً. فأنت بذكر مساوئهم على الملأ قد كتبت شهادة خطّيّة تؤخذ عليك وحفرت أثراً سيّئاً في نفوسهم إذا شاهد أحدهم ما كتبته وأبلغه للآخرين، إحتفظ بغضبك للرسائل الخاصّة.

5- إيّاك والرسائل المتسلسلة التي تتوعّد من لا ينشرها بالنار والويل والثبور وكذلك الإفراط في طلبات نشر (القضايا) الاجتماعيّة والإنسانيّة حتى لاتأتي بالأثر العكسي عندما يملّ الأصدقاء منك.
