PSP E1000 and PlayStation 3 Price Cut!

In this video I go over the Sony announcements from Gamescom including a new budget PSP model in the PSP E-1000 and the new lower price of the PlayStation 3.

Starting with the PSP E-1000, this fifth version of the PlayStation Portable features a refreshed design with a matte black finish. Just like the previous PSP models (PSPgo not withstanding) the E1000 relies on UMD discs however the E1000 lacks Wi-Fi. It is a Europe only release for later this year at €99.

The PS3 also got a price cut although the console remains the same. As of today in the US and Europe you can pick up a 160GB PlayStation 3 for $250 / €250 and a 320GB PS3 for $300 / €300.

Grid 4, Grid 10 and Grid OS Overview

In this video I go over the new products out of Fusion Garage, teased as TabCo the past few months, the Grid 4 smartphone, Grid 10 tablet and Grid OS which powers both.

The Grid 4 is a brand new smartphone that features a 1GHz single core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, 4 inch 480×800 display, 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot, 5 megapixel rear camera with 720p video support and a front facing camera. It will be compatible with Android applications in addition to apps downloaded from the Grid Shop.

The Grid 10 is a 10″ tablet that also runs Grid OS. It features a 10.1″ screen with a resolution of 1366×768, a dual core 1.2GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU, front facing 1.3 megapixel camera and 16GB of onboard storage. It will be available September 15th for $499 for the Wi-Fi only model and $599 for the Wi-Fi + 3G model.

Grid OS is based on the Android kernel and will be compatible with Android applications for both the Grid 4 and Grid 10. It draws a lot of inspiration from Windows Phone 7 with a grid style homescreen and interface.
