“The Fast and Furious” franchise has been around for almost 20 years. The first film premiered in 2001 and features 9 movies so far (one of them being the spin off “Hobbs and Shaw”) with a 10th movie being released in April 2020. But with fast cars and action galore, it can be hard to spot all of the references and eastereggs the Fast creators and actors have slipped into the movies over the years. The films have referenced other huge franchises like “Avengers” and “Star Wars”, paid tribute to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s many jobs, resurrected characters’ favorite cars, featured celeb cameos, and of course, they’ve paid homage to the late-actor Paul Walker, who helped make the Fast films so incredibly popular. From stars like Vin Diesel to Ludacris, the Fast films have even given actors a chance to promote their own businesses or insert aspects of their own personality into their on-screen characters.
