Mario is back and better than ever in one of his most ambitious games of all time. Super Mario Odyssey is going to be a game changer for the Switch, especially with all the rumors that have come out about the game. Everyone knows you can play through levels as Mario and his friend Cappy, but rumors have been swirling that Peach and Tiara can also be unlocked as playable characters.
Bowser once again serves as Mario’s main enemy, but his use of Cappy can turn the final levels of the game into some type of crazy speed run. Mario may truly feel like a fish out of water, especially when he transforms into the character Cheep Cheep while on land. A lot of the game has been built around a wedding involving Peach and Bowser, but which couple will actually get married in the game? One of the coolest worlds and levels involves the dinosaur kingdom and Mario’s ability to turn into a realistic looking t-rex. The days of bouncing on turtle shells and throwing them have completely evolved to include some pretty crazy combinations. The game pays homage to the classic Mario games with a vast variety of 2D level action and old school graphics fans will love. When going from world to world, Mario’s journey will not be forgotten as he builds and collects items for his special souvenir room. Will Luigi be left out of the game again? Some clues point to his inclusion. The ending to the game could be one of the most shocking of all time and may lead to some big storyline changes in the future.
