Having reviewed the Mercedes A45 AMG at its launch, we know its 355bhp engine makes it a real weapon, dispatching 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds. But, it’s also hugely expensive for a hot hatch, especially when you consider the thrills dished up by the slightly cheaper BMW M135i and much less expensive Volkswagen Golf GTI.
