Real talk: the iPhone 7 is kinda tough for MrMobile to get excited about. From a distance, it’s the same gently rounded slab, its screen dominated by the same gently-rounded apps. To see what makes Apple’s newest phones stand out (to wit: water resistance, improved cameras, and the curious absence of a headphone jack), you need to get closer. So let’s do that. MrMobile spent a half day with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: join him for his first impressions hands-on, and stay tuned for the full iPhone 7 review and iPhone 7 Plus review coming soon.
MrMobile’s iPhone 7 Hands-On / iPhone 7 Plus Hands-On was produced after six hours with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus review devices. The opinions in this video are initial impressions only and should not be construed as final conclusions, which will arrive with the full review.

Thanks to the iPhone 7, wireless headphones are about to blow up in a big way – and the FIIL Diva Pro is the most high-tech Bluetooth headset ever to cross MrMobile’s desk. With touch-sensitive controls, active noise cancellation, 4GB of onboard storage and a stylish illuminated logo, the FIIL Diva Pro blends beauty with brains: it’s even smart enough to know when you’ve taken it off, and pauses your music automatically! But at almost $300, FIIL is playing in a space heretofore reserved for more established players like Bose. Does the Diva Pro live up to the challenge? Find out in MrMobile’s FIIL Diva Pro review!
The MrMobile FIIL Diva Pro review was published after three days testing a pre-production FIIL Diva Pro test unit running pre-release firmware. Because this is shorter than the preferred review duration, the narration makes clear when certain data is incomplete. The FIIL Diva Pro was tested with a Huawei Honor 8, Alcatel IDOL 4S and ZTE Axon 7.

The first music player I ever owned was a Walkman, so I was excited to go hands-on with the newest one – until I learned it costs $3,200. Horrified, I scrambled across the Sony booth at IFA 2016 to take in the latest installment in my favorite Sony smartphone line, the Compact … but with a hobbled feature set and a chintzy casing, this is like no Compact that’s come before. So as I walk away from Sony’s booth on the final day of IFA 2016, my overwhelming sense is that of a company whose motivations I no longer understand … and whose products I no longer identify with. Here’s hoping that changes come CES 2017; for now, check out the MrMobile hands-on in the video above.

[ABOUT THIS VIDEO]
This video was produced after an afternoon at Sony’s booth at IFA 2016 in Berlin, where I spent time with the Walkman NW-WM1Z and Sony Xperia X Compact. It is not a full review and should not be construed as such.

LG hasn’t had the best year when it comes to smartphones, but the LG V20 has a few tricks under its unassuming outer shell. At IFA 2016 in Berlin, the company gave me a quick peek at the successor to last year’s LG V10 … and if you’re the kind of kid who hung out in the A/V studio in high school, you’re gonna love it. From high-decibel microphones to high-resolution cameras, the LG V20 comes packing; but does it bring enough heat to overcome the wet blanket that was the LG G5? Find out in MrMobile’s LG V20 hands-on!
MrMobile’s LG V20 hands on was produced after approximately 30 minutes of first-impressions time with a preproduction LG V20 at IFA 2016 in Berlin. A full review is forthcoming, pending device availability.
Special thanks to Andrew Martonik and Alex Dobie of Android Central, who filmed several of the shots used in this video. The Android Central LG V20 Hands On is available at http://androidcentral.com.
