WARNING:

Cutting aluminum cans will give the metal very sharp edges. Sharp edges cut skin. You may want to use gloves to mitigate any risk. This project should not be attempted without adult supervision and adequate training. Use of this video content is at your own risk.

Project History & More Info:

I’ve wanted to make a video with a variation of the common soda can survival whistle that had sides on it, so you didn’t have to use your thumb and finger on the sides to make it work.

The bottle cap sides were a perfect aesthetically pleasing solution, and were inspired by a picture I saw on a google search. (https://img0.etsystatic.com/007/0/5150062/il_340x270.397706936_9qqv.jpg)

I love these little whistles because they are extremely loud, attention grabbing, cool to show off, and easily made from common materials.
