Animation in the world of television is a lot more fast-paced than for movies. Episodes need to get churned out quickly and along the way, there may be some major mistakes. In the fast-paced world of Nickelodeon cartoons, there have been plenty of mistakes over the years — including favorite shows like SpongeBob Squarepants, the Loud House, and Rugrats. So now we’re here to show them all to you and see if you’ve ever spotted these mistakes before!
The Rugrats was a Nicktoons staples in the 90s, but characters like Phil, Chuckie, and Tommy have all had some major animation mistakes. If you’re a newer Nicktoons fan, then you’ll notice that Loud House has some pretty clean animation — but there are definitely mistakes along the way as well. The color pallette on SpongeBob Squarepants is pretty unmistakable. There’s the bright yellow for SpongeBob, Patrick’s pink, and Mr. Krab’s vivid red. Through 20 years of animation, there isn’t very much to mess up in that department, but a lot of the animation mistakes do come with the supporting characters. Invader Zim only aired for two seasons on Nick, but the show was chalk full of errors and small animated problems. Whether Doug aired on cable or the Disney-owned Saturday morning block on ABC, the show has some major errors. Hey Arnold featured color changes for a variety of objects and characters.
